Uninstall Itunes

Hi all.

Itunes won't let me uninstall it. I tried to install the new version
(7.0.1) but something happened in the course of the installation. I
tried to install it again, and it said "uninstall the old version
first." I tried to uninstall the old version (7.0.1.8) and it couldn't
find a .msi file that matched. So now I can neither uninstall the old
version, nor install the new version.

Does Apple offer an intelligent tool that will come onto a Windows
system, analysis what's going on, and uninstall the
Itunes/Quicktime/AppleSoftwareUpdate nexus?

Thanks.

Abraham

No need to uninstall iTunes. That message relates to the iPod itself.
Do no bother to run the CHKDSK util as well, it will give an even more mess,
although the error is gone.

The quickest way to restore everything is to connect your iPod (and fire up
iTunes, if it does not start automatically). Then choose from the iPod main
menu options 'Restore'. That will wipe your iPod. Next sync again and you are
done.
