Uninstall IE7 and replace with IE6

My son has downloaded IE7 and I can now not access some websites that use IE6
- I wish to uninstall IE7 and replace with IE6 but when I use add/remove
programs it will not allow me to uninstall nor am I able to download IE7 as
MSN says I have an updated version....what can I do?

You will probably find the answer in the IE7 newsgroup.
When you post there, please supply details of what happens when you
try removing the update in Add/Remove.

I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
