Uninstall a driver

I recently has a new driver installed through windows
update. It is from VIA Technologies, "Vinyl AC Coded
Combo Driver (WDM. Since this has been downloaded and
installed, I reboot, it hangs and will not start. I go to
a "previously good" configuration and Windows loads fine.
I can then go in and delete the driver, but if I reboot,
it tries to load again and I am back to where I was. How
do I stop this bad driver from trying to load and get rid
of it.

Jim, look for it in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder and in the System32
folder itself. Delete if there. Go to Start>Run type:
msconfig select Startup and see if there's an entry for it and
uncheck.

Next time dont install new drivers when you dont have a problem with
your old one.
