Unicode message on opening a pst file

A customer as had his profile changed and now has nothing in one of his
previously populated pst file. He has tried to open it and had the following
message:

"You are about to add a non-Unicode capable store to your profile. This
store should not be used to store multilingual Unicode data. Do you want to
continue?" Is this safe to open?
