Ungroup a Table

Right click on the border of the table, select Ungroup.
Take note though, that if you are using PowerPoint 2007, tables cannot be
ungrouped.

Sure they can. You just have to hit them with a bigger stick.

Rightclick in the table and choose Select Table from the popup.
Press Ctrl+C to copy the table.
On the HOME tab, click the down-arrow under Paste and choose Paste Special
Choose Enhanced Metafile and click OK

NOW you can ungroup it.
