unformat

Is the unformat command available in Windows XP Home
Edition?

XP would reboot automatically everytime after logging in
to a users profile. Restore would not correct the
problem neither would choosing the upgrade option. I had
to format the partition and reinstall XP to get the PC
running again.

Is there a way I can recover some files I lost?
