Unexpected Shutdowns On Vista

Hi,

Please can you help us solve this problem. We have a new computer with
Windows Vista and are having a continual problem with our computer shutting
down randomly. I have been informed this is due to teething problems with
windows vista and that creating recovery discs and re-installing will solve
the problem. However I am a novice and I am unsure on wether to do this or
not. Please can you offer some help.

It is not normal for a new computer to shut down unexpectedly, nor
is this characteristic of Vista. If you bought it locally, I'd take it back
and insist that it be exchanged.
