Unexpected Restarts With Error 6009

I'm having problems with my computer suddenly shutting down at restarting.

This only happens while I'm playing a particular game, and it happens with
no predictalbe regularity. In other words it can take from 5 minutes to an
hour with this game running that it occurs.

What I'm seeing in the system errors event log at times corresponding to
when a shut down occured is error 6009, which says ".The user restarted or
shut down the computer by clicking Start or pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and
then clicking Shut Down.

Any ideas?

I think your question as a lot to do with the game you're playing
and very little with Windows. Ask the supplier of the game, check
its FAQ pages or at the very least name the game.
 
Thanks for that Pegasus, I have posted this on their tech forum but it was
reccomended there I ask here as well.
