unexpected problem while displaying message

Can anyone help with this problem? I keep getting a message in Vista that
states:

"Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again."
 
You need to provide more details. Where is the bad message located?
Inbox, Outbox, Deleted Items? It makes a big difference.

Is your server an IMAP mail server? If so, see if the following article
helps (though written for OE, it still applies to Windows Mail).

If no help, then check that there is not a message "stuck" in your Outbox.
If that's the case, then see Steve Cochran's website for a fix:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx

After installing the WMUtil program, run it and use the "Clear Outbox"
button to see if it can resolve the problem. Good luck.
