Unexpected error installing Vista Ultimate

When I try to upgrade my Dell XPS to Vista Ultimate it errors out when I am
about 64% done completing upgrade. It give me the following error.

Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the
installation sources are accessible and restart the installation.
Error Code: 0xC0000005

I have tried this twice and get the same error both times. How can I fix this?

Try a search on "C0000005 Vista" on the Microsoft web site. Many hits, some
with suggested fixes.

I could not find any hits that dealt with my issue. It talked a lot about
FoxPro and IE crashing, not installation issues.

I have an XPS as well, and I get to around 64% too. I don't remember if that
was the same error number I got, but it does tell me it encountered a problem
and it reverts me back to XP.

Hopefully an answer for this can be found.
