Hi everybody,
I have saved an excel file accidentally and I have to take
the file back before saving. How can I do?Please help. If I
dont it will take too much time to reprepare the
file.Thank you

Hi

The file is overwritten. You have to find one of your backup CDs.

HTH. best wishes Harald

hi,
If you are on a network, see if there is a backup that you
can restore from.
otherwise i am afraid there isn't anything you can do.
sorry.

If you had the file set up for "Always create a backup", look for an *.XLK
file.

It would be one save behind your current saved revision.

I just did the same thing - disaster!
Are there data recovery programs which could recover
anything of the previous file before the save?
Any help much appreciated!!!!

Sorry, but if you've saved a file in error under the original Filename its
gone for good as far as I know unless its a Windows NT setup which will
probably have a back up. Try the Windows newsgroups, there are experts on
these sort of things there, in the meantime don't save anything more in case
there is a chance, Good Luck.
Regards,
