Undo dual boot?

I did dual boot WndowsXP on disk 1 (master) and Vista Beta on disk 2 (slave).

Now I went back to just WindowsXP (eliminating Vista by reformating disk 2
with XP disk management).

But when I start the computer, I still have to choose the OS ( earlier
version of wndows or microsoft windows vista.) There should be no choice,
vista has been eliminated.

What should I do, so that this unnecessary choice no longer appears?

Thanks in advance
Gerhard

Run either VistaBootPro or EasyBCD to remove the Vista boot loader files.
Google for the download locations.

Boot to your Windows XP installation.

Insert your Vista DVD in the DVD drive.

At a Command Prompt issue the following command:

D:\boot\bootsect /nt52 c:

Where D: is the drive letter for the DVD drive.

The same can be done without the Vista DVD by opening a Command Prompt
while in Windows XP and navigating to the \Boot folder (on the System
drive) and issuing the bootsect /nt52 c: command from the \boot folder.
