HELP!!

Windows XP Prof Service Pack 2

I have used Partition Magic to create 2 partions on my hard drive. Then to
discover the Partition Magic Program was only a demonstration version leaving
me with half the functions missing. I know what a prat!!!

How can I join these two partitions back into one. I realise that I will
most proberley have to reload windows totally and loose everything that is on
the hard disk. This is not a problem as it is a spare computer. Maybe not
such a pratt after all!!

The disk is only quite small 18G and at the moment I have 9G as NTFS and 9G
unalocated. How do I get back to just one whole 18G disk.

The best way would be to shell out a few bucks for Partition Magic and
have it do the job.

Unfortunately, nothing that comes with WinXP will do this. All you can
do is boot from your XP installation CD, delete both existing
partitions and create a new, larger one. You will lose all data, of
course.

If you are already prepared to lose everything on your hard drive, why not
just use the XP installation to make one partition and install itself on
it?

If you're already prepared to lose everything then just boot with the XP
CD, delete all current partitions, create a new single partition and
install XP.

If you want to try something else first, I recommend
http://www.bootitng.com/bootitng.html. Bootit NG can remove the second
partition and resize the first partition to take up the entire drive.
It's shareware and free to try for 30 days. Well worth $35 price when
compared to Partition Magic and similar products.

um... if i remember good, PM doesnt even do that that magically well,
cuz if i remmeber good, it's kinda as if one partition was mountes into
another as a folder, not sure, but well, i dont think it can magically
merge two partitions.

why not move the contents of one into the other, then size it? and as
for PM... get a crack?
