Whenever I compacted and repaired the database, I have underlines on all of
my names, i.e. tables, forms, reports. What's up with this?
Thanks!

Very interesting! What version of Access? I've just compacted and repaired
databases using both 2003 and 2007 and don't see that behavior.

Any other strange things happening? Do the lines go away once you close then
reopen Access?

I have Access 2000. I have repaired MS Office but have Office 2007 so I know
nothing happened with Access 2000. It started acting strange yesterday
within a form, it woldn't allow me to move them within the form unless I
clicked again. I compacted it again today and got everything underlined.
I'm wondering if something is hosed with my registry. I am thinking I need
to have work reinstall Access. What do you think?

Thanks!!

At times like this, nothing beats a good backup. In fact make a complete
backup of your database now and put it away for safe keeping.

I have a knee-jerk reaction when things get strange with Access. I'm
thinking that it's a corruption issue. Below are some great resources.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:
