Underline whitespace

Here is what I want to do:

Egress_____to__________

but with the whole line underlined. If I underline the
text in the above example the text-underline does not
match up with the "_" character. How do I make it look
like one line underlining the whole sentence.

I tried drawing a line, however, a line can only be in
certain locations and I can't get it close enough to look
like an underlined sentence.

Is there a way to underline white space?

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew;

I typed 'Egress', pressed Tab, typed 'to', perssed Tab
again, then typed a period.

I then clicked on the ruler to insert 2 tabs where I
thought they looked best.

Finally, I selected the entire sentence and clicked
the "U" for underline on the formating toolbar. Worked
perfectly.

Andrew,

you can accomplish the underline using Borders. With your
cursor in the line of text you want to underline, click...

Format | Borders and Shading: and click only the bottom
border button.

True, but if his indents extend beyond his text, so will
the underline. ;-)
