underline inserted equations

When I underline inserted equations in office12 (Word 2007), the underline
passes through the middle of the denominator of any fractions involved.
How do I get an underline that is below all parts of any equation?

TIA

There's probably a better way, but you might try applying a bottom paragraph
border or, if worse came to worst, inserting the equation in a frame and
giving it a bottom border.

It's still in beta, but many users are trying it out.
