Undelete in windows XP

Hello,

Perhaps my question is a little obvious. By mistake I
have closed Excel without saving my job. I understand
that the system saves automatically a backup copy, but I
guess that since I choose "no" when asked if I wanted to
save my job, the system deleted it. My systems department
told me that there is no undelete tool in Windows XP,
which I think is unbelievable. I think that probably, the
system is not configured for undelete, but perhaps the
people I am asking does not know how to do it. Could you
tell me if there is some undelete tool for windowsXP and
how to install/configure it?

Daniel,

Unless you have timed backup turned on in Excel (can be set to make a
backup copy of what you are doing every so many minutes), your work is
gone. Undelete (which, while not included in XP, can be done with the
right tools) won't help.
