Undeletable temp files

In Local Settings/temp folder I have about 20 files that will not delete
they look like: cteng_1_1_21192796972.dat
I cannot find out what application puts them there or what they do.
Can anyone help please?

Try booting in safe mode and see if it allows you to delete them.

Those files cannot be deleted because something is still using them and thus
are in use. You can try booting your computer up in safe mode and then try
to delete them. If that does not work you can open your Task Manager and
start killing processes, then delete them. Or you can reboot the computer
then log into a different user account and delete the temp files from your
user account.
