Undeletable files in 'My Pictures' folder.

Really strange one here - wondered if anyone's met it before, save me some
head-scratching..

If a file in the 'My Pictures' folder is deleted, it reappears a few seconds
later.

Makes no odds whether Delete or Shift-Delete is used, same result.

Delete key works normally in other folders, e.g. My Documents.

Removing and re-creating the 'My Pictures' folder made no difference,
neither did clearing the Recycle Bin.

Machine is an Acer laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed. XP Home SP2, AVG
antivirus. Not aware of any other software on it which would cause this
behaviour. - which is very like the behaviour of System File Protection (SFC)
- I wonder if that's a clue?

could be a third party screensaver, whereas, the program is
embedded in the system files and the pics are in the pic
folder and will get reinstalled. But softwares
other than screensavers can do this too.

The pics could be objects that got
into your pics folder becuase of a faulty installation.
But again, they get reinstalled because of the parent program.

If the program is
running you will see it's process loaded in memory
via task manager, eventhough you may beleived
that it was uninstalled.....
