Undefined Environ function

Since the very recent installation of security patches of
..Windows 2000 SP4
..Windows 2000 - KB823559
..Windows 2000 - KB823980
..Windows 2000 - SP5 - Q818043

we are getting on QUERIES the message Undefined Environ
function when we try to get the USERNAME; i.e. Environ
("USERNAME").

I tried retiring References and reinserting them, but no
luck.

We are using ACCESS 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1).

Any clue to get by this problem ?

It is very special, VBA in ACCESS2000 accept Environ
("USERNAME") but the QUERY does not. It used too.

I use a FRENCH version of ACCESS with a French Windows
2000 on my micro-computer; I don't think it matters but it
could.

Any idea ?
