Unauthorised remote access

One of our users noticed that someone else had control of
their mouse and was opening emails in front of him.
Looking through the logs showed no unauthorised access,
and our network control center sais that no access was
showing up on the routers during the time reported.

Does anyone have ideas on how, why this might have been
possible.
