Unable to view streaming media in IE6 .wmv

I use Win XP SP2, IE6, and wmp10. My problem is this, i can view .wmv files
as long as they are saved to my drive, but when i try to view these as
'streaming in IE6, all i get is the wmp10 embedded seek bar with volume ctrl
etc up at the top of where the video was meant to play, all my other
extensions are fine. I have all the most recent codecs.

I have the same sort of problem. I'm running Win XP SP2, IE6, and wmp10. My
problem is when I go to a website with a streaming video all that it says
it's trying to connect to the media and then my internet connection crashes.
I have DSL and an USB wireless adapter on my computer. Every time it crashes
I have to unplug the modem and plug it back in. I have also had this problem
while using Real Player. Thank you to anyone who can help with this problem.
