I have a strange problem I have not been able to solve for weeks,
despite multiple searches, etc.
Windows XP Home, all updates installed, clean scans with AVG Antivirus,
Adaware, Spybot, etc.
I go to Start>Control Panel>Network Connections>right click on Local
Area Connection>click status and get nothing.
In TCP/IP properties I have the "show Icon in notification area..."
checked. IT DOES NOT show.
This seems to have started after a failed attempt to update to Media
Player 11 (maybe).
The network status Icon used to show up and work correctly.
Your help is appreciated.
