Unable to view aol attachments in Outlook 2003

When an AOL user sends or forwards an email with an attachment the end-user
can view the text of the email, but it does not show an attachment exist.
When the end-user forwards email to self or another user then the attachment
is visible.

The end-user is using Outlook 2003 connecting to Exchange 2007.

Microsoft Exchange Hosted Filtering and for the end-user Symantec Anti-Virus
version 9.

Using Google Desktop Search by chance?

No. The end-user is not using the Google Desktop. I did see that post.
Thanks for clarifying.

I have found a work around.
Convert the file to plain text and then the attachment appears.
Please reference knowledge base article KB821840.
Thanks for you assistance.
