Unable to Use Picture for User Account

Vista Basic x32 sp2

Not sure what I did but I'm unable to use my pictures for my user account
picture.
It was displaying ok this morning but I've since installed and uninstalled a
couple of programs.
When I select Change your picture and browse to my picture folder and select
a picture there
is no image in the box.
If I select a picture form the User Account Pictures folder it displays ok.
A system restore didn't help.

I got it fixed.
I needed to delete the account and then do a system restore.
Don't know why system restore didn't fix it the first time.
