Unable to unzip without the right password

I tried to install a hot fix by unzipping first. When I go to execute the
zip file, it asks for a password. I'm not sure what password it wants. It
entered the password for the administrator of the computer, but that didn't
do anything. It gives me a "skip" option, but then no files are unzipped.
What do I do?

It's the password set by the person who "zipped" the file. It's not *your*
Windows or Administrator password.

What is the fix for, and where did you obtain this fix? Did you contact the
site you obtained it from? Are there instructions on the web site regarding
this particular file?

I have never heard of Microsoft sending a hotfix ever.
Since when did they start doing such?

You check with the people who provided you with the zip file.

The password has nothing to do with your local passwords.
