unable to transfer a document from word to my email

I have a number of documents in my word program, I want to transfer them to
my email. I don't know if there's a firewall or something block me.

What do you mean by "transfer them to my email"? Are you wanting to send the
documents as attachments?

Thanks Suzanne, I want to send the documents, as an attachment. Each time I
try to send them, they wind up in Outlook. I've tried to send hem from
Outlook, and the same thing happens. Thanks for any help, I am going crazy
trying to find this out, Sufiron

Well, assuming that Outlook is your default mail client, that's where you
want them. Unless you have Outlook configured to send messages immediately,
you may need to initiate a Send and Receive to actually send the mail.
