unable to synchronize the mail items after starting up WLMD



when i started my WLMD and after the sign-in, it can show the old emails
downloaded before (not in my local personal folder, kind of offline folder).
However, it cannot synchronize with the server side, even I knew there're a
lot of new emails in my Hotmail account (from the notification message of my
Live Messenger). it will give me the error message as below:

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. There is an error
synchronizing your mail account, please call Microsoft support to resolve
this issue. Server:
'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v1.0.0/sync.aspx', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Port: 80, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 204, Error Number:

what's the problem? I tried on both of company network and home network, all
failed with the same message.

it was ok a week before right after I installed the WLMD.



I am having the same problem. I installed the client last Friday and the
first sync worked fine, I tried to sync today (monday) however I am seeing
the exact same problem as you.

I see your error message at the top of the error list, then I see a bunch of
subsequent errors like this:

Windows Live Mail Desktop Beta could not download the requested message. It
is likely that the message was removed or expired from the server. Subject
'verizon.com user ID reminder', Protocol: NNTP, Server Response: 'An error
has occurred.', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x8DE20005

That error appears 100+ times and all that changes between the errors is the
email subject. The email subjects listed in the errors match messages in my
