lsass.exe - System Error

When trying to update a password, the return status
indicates the value provided as the current password is
not correct.

When trying to start windows this error appears for 5
seconds then the computer restarts.

I am unable to start windows.

This problem occurred when "Automatic Update" downloaded
a Windows security update the other day. When windows
restarted a message stated "the file windows\system32
\config\system was missing or corrupt." I inserted the
OPERATING SYSTEM CD that came with this computer, and ran
the recovery console, I saved the "corrupted" system file
and replaced the file with the windows\repair\system

After restart, this error now occurs:

lsass.exe - System Error

When trying to update a password, the return status
indicates the value provided as the current password is
not correct.

How can I get past this and back into my windows.

.
did you replace all five hives or just system?

they are interdependent replacing one is not enough,if
you only did one do all of 307545,support.microsoft.com

if you did all five then you are sol and it is time to
recover data and clean install

lsass is the local login security once comprimised you
are sol.
