unable to set up VPN

M

Michele Memoli

I need to set up a VPN connection with my network at
home, but it's grayed out

What do I need?

What's the problem?

I'm certain the additional components have been installed

Any help would be welcome

Way too little info here.

1. Do you have a VPN router at your home?
2. Is it configured to accept VPN?
3. Are you coming through a VPN router on this end?
4. When you write the VPN is greyed out, where?
5. Have you run the wizard for setting up a new network
connection?
6. What OS are you on?

I have a home user who is having the above problem. Is not having a legal
copy of xp the only reason for that behavior? If so, how do I have him
confirm the status of his copy? I am assuming he either won't admit it or
doesn't know.
