Unable to set up internet connection in XP

Jason

Hi all,
I am unable to set up my internet connection in Win XP
Professional. I run "inetwiz", specify my username and
password, and then specify a name for my Internet
connection. No matter what name I specify (or if I go with
the default name), the wizard still says the name itself
is invalid, i.e. name must not start with a period, must
have at least one non-space character, etc.
I also attempt to set up a new connection by
specifying "create a new connection" in the "network
connections" box, and specify "internet connection"
and "set up a connection manually" in the New Connection
Wizard. The "Connect using a dial up modem" radio button
option is greyed out and the only available option is
broadband.
I would appreciate any help in this regard.
Many thanks!
Jason

Hi Jason,

This is a common problem. Try re-applying Service Pack 1a For Windows Xp.
