unable to send a windows e-mail to a certain person. I can send to another
person with the same provider(sbcglobal.net) without any problem. I have the
authentication on send as same as receive.
The e-mail doesn't get sent and I get the following error message.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)]'. Subject 'Fw:
Angel schedules', Account: 'Richard Verizon Mail', Server:
'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 5.1.3 bad
address syntax: (e-mail address removed)]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

more information. I can send an e-mail to the same person from my other
computer using windows XP but not on this computer using VISTA

As the other poster indicated, the address is bad. You show it as
(e-mail address removed)] and the trailing bracket character, the ] symbol
after the ".net" is the problem. I'm pretty sure the error will go away if
the ] is removed from the address.
