Hi,
I installed Outlook 2003 today after running 2000 with
no problems. I'm not able to send/receive emails. When
I click in the send/receive button, I get an error saying
"The operation failed. An object could not be found".
The same thing happens if I try to configure a s/r group.
Under Tools, Send & Receive, Send & Receive Setting, when
I click on 'Define Send & Receive Groups', I get the
same failed operation message.
When trying to send an email, the progress window shows
'Task 'gigtime.com - Sending' reported error (0x8004010F):
'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'
I have multiple domains and email accounts on different
hosts. All my accounts imported properly except for some
reason, all of the passwords are blank. I configured each
of them correctly and used the test feature for each account.
Notably, the test messages all went out ok.
I'm not using Exchange. I am using Norton but disabling it
had no effect and given the amount of viruses going around,
leaving it off all the time isn't an option anyway.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill
