Unable to send mail

Receiving error of the connection to the server has failed. Was able to send
mail last week but not yesterday or today. I have checked my connections and
configurations. Please advise. Thank you Kathy

I am having the same problem without an error message. My outgoing email
sits in my Outbox. We had a major power failure the day this started,
afterwords I had minor problems with opening emails. Also an email from a
colleague appeared but quickly disappeared and not seen since. I don't seem
to be able to connect to our outgoing server.
 
If there is an accumulation of messages in the Outbox folder, open
the Outbox folder. Move as many of those messages as you can to
the Drafts folder. If any message can't be moved or deleted, apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

If no improvement, delete that account since it is probably corrupted,
restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account.
