When I try to save file to my cd, get a message stating I do not have
permission to save in this directory see the administrator to obtain
permission. Would you like to save in the my documents instead? I am suppose
to be the administrator, could someone tell me how to correct this.

Hi,

Do you have a packet writing program installed? If not, WinXP won't support
a direct write to CD. The XP burning engine stages files for writing, then
transfers them as a batch later when specifically directed to in its writing
tools.

Hi Jay,

Are you backing up the program folders? If you are doing this so that you
don't have to reinstall them, you should be made aware in the event you have
to create a clean, new installation the programs would have to be
reinstalled from the original installation media - simply copying the
program folders back will not be sufficient.
