frustrated with XP

I have 10 windows XP computers. I load programs for the
users with the admin account. If the user is not logged
into the domain, they can run the program. If the user
logs into the domain, which they should, they cannot even
see the program. I have even tried promoting the user to
local admin. It works on the local machine, but when they
try to log into the domain, they cannot access the
program. I've been on this for 2 days. any help would be
appreciated.

thank you

You need to add the domain account of the user to the local administrators
group.

Try adding their domain account to the power users local group on their machine. If
that does not work add them to the local administrators group on their local machine
which is definitely something to avoid if possible. If a user has local administrator
rights they can create a local administrator account to log onto and avoid domain
user policy or unjoin the computer from the domain. Though a power user can create
non administrative local accounts, you could use security policy to restrict logon
locally to administrators and domain users. --- Steve
