Unable to restore to any restore point

I am getting a message "Your computer cannot be restored to .... ". I
tried all restore points available but to no avail. The OS is WXP Pro
SP2. Could anyone post what could be the cause of this problem?

Here are some troubleshooting tips for System Restore in Windows XP.
Please post the event information from Event Viewer as suggested in
the page below along with any other error message generated by System
Restore. This will help us in diagnosing the problem.

My opinion would be to disable RESTORE and start using Symantec's
GOBACK.

You don't have to do anything and it saved me countless heartaches that
I would have had with MS Restore.

GoBack is a Godsend!!

Hi Bert,

Thanks for your response. I could resolved the problem by following the
suggested steps in the web page from the link you posted. The point
was running System Restore service in Safe Mode.
