unable to resolve dns entries.. how to fix??

We are running windows 2003 server and have a domain mis.local on a
10.1.x.x subnet. I set up DNS on the 2003 server and all is working
fine localls and for other machines connected to the 10.1.x.x subnet..
we also have a 10.2.x.x subnet which is in another building on or WAN.
I have another DNS server set up there with info about the 10.2.x.x
MAC servers and then a forward to the 10.2.x.x DNS server when it cant
resolve. All seems to be working as far as getting out to the
internet for things like yahoo.com etc.. but when I am in the 10.2.x.x
subnet and I try to go to a site such as server1.mis1.local it tells
me it cant find it. I tried this on 2 different machines running on
the 10.2.x.x server.. one was a mac with OS9 and one was an windows XP
pro machine. neither could get to any of the domain names on the
mis.local domain

any ideas how to fix? also none of the machines in the 10.2.x.x are
joined into the mis.local domain.

Thanks..

hI,

i WOULD RECOMMEND TO to add conditional forwarding between the two subnets
in both the DNS servers
that will resolve the issue
