unable to recognize DVD in Media Player 9

Anyone have the experience of MP9 not recognizing your
DVDs. InterVideo's WinDVD5 sees and plays them with no
problem. I cannot seem to locate a DVD decoder on
Microsoft website. Help would be appreciated at this
point. Thanks.
