I have been using Outlook 2003 for several years. 2/12/07 I was unable to
send messages for 1 day and that mysteriously cleared up and I am now able to
send messages. My ISP is cable accessed via a LAN.

2/13/07 to date I have been unable to receive messages. I have changed
nothing in my settings and testing send/receive produces no error messages;
all looks ok. Messages are sitting on the ISP and are painfully accessible
via their webmail option but not making it through to Outlook. I can see the
test send messages generated by Outlook. I have been in touch with the ISP
to be informed that they do not support access to Outlook as it is too
unstable and to get in touch with Microsoft for resolution!

Has Outlook received an update in the last week (I am scheduled for
automatic updates and share this pc with other family members so would not
necessarily notice an update)?

Any info on how to resolve this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Download a simple POP3 client such as popcorn
(http://www.ultrafunk.com/products/popcorn/)

If that can't download your email , the problem is not Outlook. If it can,
then Outlook is the problem. Try disabling any Outlook add-ins and any
anti-virus software.
