Office XP - excel 2002 - All of s sudden I cannot read any
of my excel files. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi Ron!

If you can open Excel and open files from within Excel, You may want
to try one of these:

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to
excel's
factory defaults.

An alternative might be to do:
Try Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

Failing that, what error messages are you getting?

Hi Ron!

Have you tried opening on another computer?

Have you been saving files in Excel to a floppy disc rather than copy
to floppy, copy from floppy to hard and then opening from the hard
drive?

Did you ever get an answer to your question?
The same thing is happening to me, also all Word files
and all PowerPoint presentations.

You may want to try reregistering excel (and word and powerpoint):

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.

I know that MSWord has the same /regserver option--not sure about PPT.
