Hello Tom,
I did speak to my NEW ISP - BRITISH TELECOM.
They insist that they DO NOT have firewall.
The support team made me do some checks which included creating a file
called "TEST" by FTP through INETERNET EXPLORER and look for the uploaded
file through FRONTPAGE FTP CONNECTION.
When I tried to publish from Frontpage - it connects to the site alright. I
can see the file called - "TEST" on the "Remote site window". That means I am
able to connect to my site. There is no firewall problem from the ISP.
1.My own firewall in my computer is turned off.
2.ISP support proved to me that they are not blocking frontpage connection
to my site.
3.My host "DOMINET.NET" is telling me everything from their end is working
fine. They were always been reliable for many years.
IT LOOKS LIKE THE PROBLEM LIES WITH FRONTPAGE.
For some reason it simply WILL NOT PUBLISH !!!
Every time I try to publish - it goes into "LISTING THE FILES IN MY
DOCUMENTS FOLDER". It gets stuck there for long time. Then I get this
following error message -
COULD NOT FIND A WEB SERVER AT '
WWW.ROMANCING-THE-TEA.COM ON PORT 80. PLEASE
CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT THE WEB SERVER NAME IS VALID AND YOUR PROXY SETTINGS
ARE SET CORRECTLY. IF YOU ARE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS CORRECT, THE WEB SERVER
MAY BE TEMPORRILY OUT OF SERVICE
I would appreciate your help.
regards,
ken.

Should be: ..if the *isp* uses a proxy server.

| As I asked, did *you* recently install a new firewall or security suite?
| And if the *host* uses a proxy server.
