Unable to print, reinstall drivers error

We are having a printing issue at my work. Here are the details, as
jumbed as they may be.

We have about 10 users, all using Windows 2000 Pro with McAfee
VirusScan. The users are able to print to their printers all day.
Something will happen, and they get a message: Unable to print,
reinstall drivers. A reboot will fix the problem, as will restarting
the Spooler service.
The problem sometimes occurs when printing the same document from an
email, or printing a web page. Some of the printers are shared on the
network, while some are local printer. Some are printing to HP
printers, while others print to Lexmark printers.
We are having a difficult time diagnosing this issue. Nothing is
showing up in any of the system logs. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Probably best posted to a Windows group... it appears to be Windows
hiccuping, not a printer problem, since it is doing it with multiple
brands/types of printers.
