unable to print, access denied

I have a xp home laptop that was printing to a hp4000 that
is shared(parallel)on a w2kpro(upgrade version)
workstation. Now I get a unable to print, access denied on
the printer properties of the xp laptop. All other
machines in the workgroup print to the shared hp4000. I
can see the shared files on the same w2k workstation. If I
reinstall the printer, it asked for the user and password
which allows me to print until I restart the xp laptop
again. I am going crazy, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Kevin

When you logon to the XP laptop, do you use the same username and password
that you supply in the prompt you get when reinstalling the printer?
