Unable To ping ip address/WinXP SP2

I am trying to setup Symantec AntiVirus Server. But i am
having problems connecting clients to the server. Infact
i can't even ping the machine (both machines have static
IP address) on the netowrk. It's not just that machine,
several machines can't see each other. I have recently
installed WinXP SP2 on all these machines is it just a co-
incidence or is this a reported problem? How do i fix
this? Any help would be appreciated!
