Hi,
My laptop is running under Windows XP SP1. I would like to access it
remotely via our WAN but I couldn't even ping it either via hostname or its
IP address. Here are some of the things that I've tried to no avail
1. Change from DHCP to Static
2. IPconfig /release and /renew
3. IPconfig /flushdns and /registerdns
4. Scan for spywares and viruses
5. Disjoin and rejoin to our domain
One thing I've noticed though whenever I reboot it and I run continuous ping
from another machine is that I can get ping replies for a couple of seconds,
when it's in "applying computer settings" state. Then I get ping time out
again on that same state.
I am thinking that upgrading it to SP2 might solve the problem. But would
you know what causes this issue and ther solution?
