Unable to open Internet Explorer in Windows XP

Whenever I try to open IE, I receve an error "unable to
locate data for 'ad'. Then the IE homepage opens up for a
few seconds, then I receive the message stating Microsoft
has encountered an error and has to close the program, so
I am never able to get onto the internet. The "unable to
locate data for 'ad' error comes up when I open Explorer
as well, but once I click ok, Explorer opens up.
I have tried loading adware and have quarantined all of
the possible spyware programs and this is still
happening. Any ideas?

This seems to be happening a lot lately and appears to be caused by the
spyware program "CPR". You can uninstall this CPR from the Add/Remove
Programs applet in Control Panel. As for removing spyware, it is good
to run two tools like Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Be sure to
update the programs before running them.
