Unable to open IE6

I am unable to open IE6. When I press ctrl/alt/del, I
notice that "wintsu" is not responding. Is that the
problem? What is "wintsu" and if that is the problem, how
do I fix it?

As far as I know, wintsu.exe is a file that is part of a spyware program
called PurityScan/PuritySweep. You should run some programs like Ad-Aware or
Spybot: Search & Destroy on your system.

Be sure to update them fully after installing.

Thanks. I think that then, the wintsu may be a red
herring. The problem with IE began after I removed a
program that had been uploaded from the internet (invaded
my computer) called Searchbar plus or something like that.
After I went into control panel and deleted the program,
IE would not run anymore. Any other ideas? I have run spy
bot but that has not helped.
