Unable to Open .email Attachments in WMail

I am using Vista with Windows Mail and am unable to open forwarded .email
attachments. When I try to open the attachment in notepad-get just a bunch of
characters. When I try to open using WMail, the attachment will not open. How
would I be able to open/view these type attachments?

Thanks for the help all you software wizards! /s
Here is what to do:

1) Save the .email attachment in a place you will remember (Documents folder).
2) Rename the file extension as .eml and it will now open in Windows Mail.
3) You may have to change the folder options to allow you to view the
extension. You can do this by unchecking the "Hide extensions for known
file types" under the View tab inside Advanced settings in Folder Options.
You can find Folder Options by searching for folder options in Help and
Support and clicking on Folder Options.

An .EMAIL file is an alternate file extension for an .EML file. One option
is to save the attachment, then rename with an .EML file name. Another is
to create a file association for .EMAIL files. Use folder Options to create
a new File Type for .EMAIL and duplicate the settings listed for .EML files.
