Unable to open asp.net 1.1 solutions

Hi

I have .net frameworks 1.0 and 1.1 running on my machine.
When I try to open a solution written using .Net Framework
2003 (1.1), I get an error "Visual Studio.NET had detected
that the web server is running asp.net version 1.0 ...."
I followed Microsoft Knowledbase article 306005 (How to
repair IIS mapping after you remove and reinstall IIS)
which involves re-setting the mapping created to associate
the file extensions and settings for ASP.NET and
registering ispai dll version 1.1.4322.0.
I still get the same error though all file extensions do
seem to point to the latest isapi dll version. Is there
something that I missed ?

Do you have any third party web servers running?

Based on my past experience, Apache running on 80 port will cause the same
error message.
